I love December. There's my birthday, our wedding anniversary, the end of the school year, and of course my favourite time - Christmas. Lots of celebrating. Lots of great food. What's not to love?
And so, because it is the first day of December (and common sense dictates that I can't do it any earlier) we put up the Christmas tree today. What was supposed to be a family affair was narrowed down as Offsring #2 and Hubby slumbered the afternoon away and Offspring #1 and I just couldn't wait any longer. #2 arrived in the living room just as we plugged in the lights and promptly declared it to be a 'pitty teeeee' which when translated means a pretty tree. #1 decided it was beautiful and 'just perfect' and I'm pretty darn pleased with it too.
We put up a couple of the lights for outside but I don't think I'll be able to convince Hubby to put all of them up this year. Oh well, there's always next year...
