At 625 posts... My First Giveaway!

Yep, you read it right. I've been blogging for almost 4 years and this is my 625th post. Time flies and all that, hey? Anyway, I recently got an email asking if I'd like to take part in a review or giveaway and since I love you all so much I figured I'd give it to you. I love that you read and (sometimes!) comment. That you offer suggestions for problems I'm dealing with - whether it's the kids, the garden or trying to find something to wear on a rare night out. That you have a go at some of the recipes I try and that some of our fave's have also become yours. I love that some of my real life friends read along and keep up on our news and that some of my cyber friends, or as hubby calls them - imaginary friends - have become my friends too. So, to say thankyou I'm going to pass on a $50 voucher from the lovely people at Buyster for their online store. They have everything from kitchenware to handbags to furniture like these lovely Melbourne bar stools.
So, the important stuff. How do you enter? It's easy-peasy. Just leave me a comment on this post. A comment about anything at all. You could tell my why you visit Red Dirt Mummy, what you'd like to spend the voucher on, or something that made you smile today. Whatever you want to say, I'd love to hear it.
Entries close 12noon, Thursday 8th July (Perth time) and, unfortunately, this is open to Australian readers only.

Competition aside, this is my opportunity to tell you why I love your blog so much...for those yummy recipes of yours that are now firm favourites of ours, for the news and pictures of your gorgeous family and home renovations and mostly for the chance to reconnect with you. Newman is very dear to our hearts and so are all the wonderful friends we made there. Keep blogging, Mands, love your work! Kaz xox

Well thanks, now I've just spent a whole lot of time searching a new site (to see what I might choose when I win that voucher, ha ha). But really, I read your blog because I need to check up on what you're up to, seeing as you will no longer follow me around the country side!

Only open to Aussie readers means I don't get the chance to tell you how much I enjoy reading about your family in Australia and finding out how similar things are all over the world. And I can't tell you how I enjoy your photos and funny snippets from your life and from your kids. And I can't explain how easy your blog is to read and how pretty it looks. so I guess I will wait for another giveaway. :)

Had to come back to ensure that you know that I do come and visit your blog just about every day to check if you've put anything new up. Also seems like a good time to let you know I'm currently reading a book called Bloody Mary written by J A Konrath. I don't mind it, but don't recommend reading it right before bed when your husband is away!

I love your blog for the recipes and the stories about your kids - who are ridiculously cute, by the way. I think you and I have quite a similar philosophy on life, I think we'd be good friends if we weren't 6000kms apart!

And I also love that you're always coming to my blog and commenting :-)

Well, I first discovered your blog a year or so ago - and then my bloglines got too big and my life got a bit out of hand and then I saw you commented on Bush Babe so I came across to check you out again...

I try to comment when I can, sometimes I think you wish I wouldn't because usually I'm a smartarse.
I read your blog and wish I could cook (sometimes I pass the recipes on to Glenn, they actually get cooked that way!!).
It was great to catch up with you when I was last in Perth, and see your kids when they're old enough to talk to.
Hopefully we can catch up soon in Melbourne...???

I think I go with B and the boys and tell you some other time how much I enjoy reading about your cute kids and your life in the Hills and admire your cooking :-)

Why I like reading your blog -
1. I like reading your blog to find out what your family has been up to (keeping up to date with one of my favourite past students). It was amazing that we first met in Newman, then again in Karratha and I had the privilege to teach your DS twice!
2. I like finding out what you have been cooking although I haven't tried anything yet!

Secondly something that made me smile today
1. My class having fun on their pyjama day :)
2. Getting to the end of the day and knowing I have two weeks holidays :)

I love seeing the great stuff you cook and wishing I could do that, I love that you have a picky eater kid too so I don't feel like it's just me alone in the universe, and I love your fun sense of humour!
And I've been swamped lately and haven't commented half as much as I've wanted to - but I always read your posts with a smile.
Your Imaginary Friend, Jo :)

I love reading your blog, it's funny and nice and makes me smile. I used to live in the Perth Hills so I love seeing and hearing about what's happening up there. And I love that you comment on my blog (much neglected as it is!)

As a working Mum & Nan I read it to catch up on what my daughter and her family are up to. I seem to read it more often than I get to speak to you some weeks. Never mind all that will change very soon, but I will keep on reading your blog. I also get to catch up with your other friends who read what they are up to. Hi Donna.
It is interesting to see what you are cooking and put our requests in. (Mum)
