Dog Day Afternoon

Okay, I don't actually know what that means but since we had a birthday party for the dog this afternoon it seemed to fit!

We made a pretty cake (I feel rather guilty that the dog's cake turned out better than my recent efforts on #2's cake, though this one does prove - once again- that cake decorating is not one of my talents!)

We had friends around to sing Happy Birthday and blow out the candles. And help eat the cake.

They brought gifts for the birthday boy.

And he enjoyed the special birthday treat from his family.

The kids played and blew bubbles.

And chased bubbles

And we all had a lovely time. The End.

Hi Iris, we've had a week of gorgeous spring weather - at last! This coming weeks it's supposed to be quite warm and I can't wait.

Thanks for dropping by Carole. And yes, I think Mr Dog had a great day LOL.

LOL Melody - we've just started the search for another dog. We haven't quite got as far as names though.

Mandy... you've just reminded me why I often think I'd like to be a family dog lol... AND - you've given the XO some ideas - she's lining up our dogs birthday party now, so the kids can celebrate it - bugger! What a ripper cake but... ;-)

Thanks, Sam.

Ha! Sorry Ron, nah not really. All kids should celebrate their dog's birthday. Any excuse for cake!
